The Households package is a part of the Nonprofit Starter Pack, a set of managed packages made available to nonprofits.
The Households package provides the ability to aggregate contacts around a physical address (the household). This provides the easier mailings--limiting to only one piece per physical address. Additionally, there is a feature that calculates total donations per households.
You can control which contacts get Households through a simple configuration change.
This package is a part of the Nonprofit Starter Pack and can be installed as a managed package.

- Households are created by code upon the creation of a Contact. Because of this, setting any Household fields to required may cause automatic Household creation to fail.
