Exporting Your Geo Force Map to the Google Maps application


  • You can export your Geo Force Map to the Google Maps application at any time. Simply navigate to view the desired list on the Geo Force tab, then click 'Export KML.'
  • This creates a KML file (a formatted latitude longitude file with your location details so you can make your own Google Earth layers outside of Salesforce) which can either be saved to your computer or to a website for later access, or opened immediately with Google Earth.

  • If you are able to view your Map in Salesforce.com, but not in Google Earth, remove (delete) the Map from your Map List in the Google Earth application (on the left-hand side), download the KML file from your Salesforce account again, and open it with Google Earth.

  • If you are able to view your Map in Google Earth, but not in Salesforce.com, contact your Salesforce administrator for help.
