GeoLocations


When you click the 'GeoCode' button on the About Geo Force tab, the Geo Force application creates a separate GeoLocation record ('object') for each address in your account. This allows you to run reports, create lists, and view maps of your locations.
These GeoLocations may be found under the GeoLocations tab.
A few items of note:
Once you click the GeoCode button and create the GeoLocations, the GeoLocations are independent of the initial records they were created from (although they are associated with the records). In other words, to change the address of an Account once it has been GeoCoded and have that address change appear in your maps, you must also change the address in the associated GeoLocation.
(You can find the associated GeoLocation of each Account by clicking on the name of the GeoLocation on the Account detail page).
For simplicity's sake, you can also simply delete the associated GeoLocation, then re-generate it (by clicking on 'New GeoLocation' at the top of the Account Detail page. This will generate a new GeoLocation with the current address of the Account.
You can also create a new GeoLocation without deleting the old; it will replace the old GeoLocation on both the Map and the A
Once you This tab contains all of the unique addresses in Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities and Leads.

It is used to minimize processing time for you as many contacts, oppty’s, and leads have duplicate addresses.

You can link to a custom picture to be displayed for each location as well
