Creating Custom Buttons

  • Custom Buttons
    • The following code WILL NOT work in your account and is here for an example only. The problem is that the field id's for custom fields cannot be generalized so that they are the same for anyone that installs the package. So, you need to create your own custom buttons. The good thing is that this enables you to set your own naming conventions.
  • New Recurring Donation Buttons
    • See Recurring Donation Install notes
  • New Household from Contact
  • New Donation from Contact
  • New Donation from Account

Other Applications

  1. Connection Visualizer
  2. Google Earth

Upgrading Packages

Here is a screencast showing this process.

You will receive announcements periodically from the salesforce.com Foundation about major package updates. However, you will not get an announcement every time an update is available. That information will always be here on this page. To learn how to check what version of a package you have right now take a look at this screenshot.

Security

The Nonprofit Starter Pack uses Apex and Visualforce. Profiles can be given access to these objects under Setup > User Management > Profiles. If a profile doesn't have access to these objects, the Nonprofit Starter Pack will give those users access errors.
