Single sign-on allows a user to log in to an environment once, without having to log in to access different services and resources in that environment. You can implement token-based single sign-on with Salesforce desktop clients, such as Connect for Outlook, Connect for Lotus Notes, and Connect for Office. For instructions, see Implementing Single Sign-On for Clients in the Force.com Cookbook.
For details on first configuring the Salesforce environment for Single Sign-On, see How to Implement Single Sign On with Force.com.
